Me sinto no caminho, no percurso, na descoberta.

A little bit about my creative process

My relationship with painting is very corporeal. In my process, I work on surfaces with a lot of color and I bring gestural inkjets from a new perspective, seeking to bring aquatic fluidity and organic movement to abstract painting.

I still have a lot to learn. I feel I am on the way, on the path, in the discovery.

Both in figurative paintings (for which I am inspired by the pointillist technique with the novelty of superimposing striking gestural jets); as for abstract paintings, I try to create shapes and color combinations with organically harmonic movements. What does that mean?

It means that the final result of the composition of an artwork, for me, should lead to an organic well-being, that is, a feeling of well-being in the body of the person who sees the work, in the body of the person who enjoys the art. A good bodily sensation. Or at least something neutral. But never negative, heavy, sad, melancholy, aggressive feelings… art can be a vital breath among so many atrocities in the real world.

Different feelings, states or emotions can arise, but they are always positive: serenity, joy, enthusiasm, gratitude, cheer, delicacy, vibration, inspiration… I try to transform these sensations into plastic form through painting and design. Or maybe I try to create and find out what feeling arose there after painting, creating, drawing…

I am also inspired by the vital force of some people when I create works to order. It is difficult to formalize on a canvas, with traces and colors, in an abstract way, the living presence of a human being. But it is a beautiful and also pleasant challenge.

I seek to paint the form of the vitality of landscapes, foliages, seas, mountains, skies, and so many other moments of life and nature. The themes are sometimes imagined, dreamed of and/or desired before painting and can also be born during the creation process.

At the end of all research, studies, work, attempts, training, the ideal end result for me is when the artwork created generates an impact of organic well-being and, mainly, when it makes room for a metaphysical opening.

From an artwork we can invigorate ourselves, we can be inspired, to be thrilled, to motivate ourselves to the excellence of life. The vital art can transport us within and to the best of ourselves.

About me

Hi! I'm Carol Miranda and I work with a vibrant and vivacious aesthetic proposal. Everyone has a different perception of art, but we are all moved when art emits the vitality of beauty. For me, the vital art brings well-being and can be an instrument for us to live better.

My relationship with art dates back to childhood. My soul came into the world to make art.

I have been working for over 15 years as a designer and art director. I have used colors and textures at different times: I organized events for the advertising market, I participated in the production of cultural projects, I created and developed branding and graphic design projects, and I loved working on creating and entrepreneurship in the fashion market. I have always used art and beauty as inspiration.

From the experience of working with the Italian artist Antonio Meneghetti (1936-2013), for more than 10 years, I discovered the artistic movement of OntoArte and gestural painting, which I fell in love with. I am very grateful for being trained directly by Prof. Meneghetti. I learned about the balance and proportion creating OntoArte prints on silk, I learned to have a free hand and a free soul when painting, and I also learned to read his artworks. I really enjoy studying and teaching about OntoArte, mainly about its philosophy of bringing vitality to all artistic manifestations.

In 2017, I created Miranda Vivace Design, a brand of fashion items with exclusive designs and prints. I worked with silk, satin and leather in women's and men's shoes and accessories. Here, I already signed: “a work of art at your feet”.

In 2020 the time has come to dive into my own production as an artist.

Of all the experiences I had and still have, I consider the biggest challenge today to bring - as a final result of the artwork - a metaphysical sense. My wish is to be an instrument balanced with the universe to transmit vitality in everything I produce.

I like to study and to teach about art in courses. I love organize guided tours in exhibitions and museums with small groups. We have already visited exhibitions in São Paulo, Rome, Florence, Venice, Athens, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris, Kiev, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Miami, Toronto and Montreal.

It also pleases me to organize art workshops: moments of invigoration and pleasure in direct contact with some artistic technique. There can be so many: watercolor painting, mosaics, clay modeling, woodcut, etc.

I studied about the creative process in my master's thesis in the Education, Art and History of Culture master course at Mackenzie Presbyterian University. I studied the impact of images on young people in my thesis for the title of specialist in Social Ontopsychology, in the Specialization course at St. Petersburg State University, in Russia. I also did a postgraduate degree Consumerism Sciences at ESPM and I have a degree in Advertising (Mackenzie).

Today I dedicate myself totally to the visual arts, both in the practice of painting, as well as studying and preparing classes. I have clients and projects in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia.

My greatest pleasure is to share with the world the universality of vital art and the principles of the OntoArte movement. Human intelligence is nourished by vital aesthetics and art is an instrument for living better.
